A Guide to Funeral Options:

It can feel overwhelming making decisions during a time of grief on who to say goodbye to a loved one. At B Jenkins & Sons we can discuss the options oh how you wish to say your last farewell.

Cremations:

Navigating the planning of a funeral is a sensitive and emotional journey, and at B Jenkins and Sons, we comprehend the profound importance of this occasion. Cremation, an increasingly favoured choice, is made uniquely accessible through our flexible options. You can opt for a service in a crematorium chapel, a church, or a venue of your choosing. We believe in honouring your preferences, whether your service leans towards religious or non-religious. Our assistance extends to finding the perfect individual to conduct the ceremony.

Choose to gather outside or take a seat in the chapel as the coffin is brought in. Personal touches like hymns, songs, eulogies, and readings can be seamlessly integrated. At the service's conclusion, the crematorium curtain can close to provide privacy or remain open, allowing you to pay your respects as you depart.

We recognise that dealing with your loved one's ashes is a deeply personal decision. Most crematoriums can return the ashes within a week, and our team is here to provide guidance and support as you consider the next steps.

Burials:

Planning a funeral can be an emotionally charged experience, and at B Jenkins and Sons, we are dedicated to offering empathetic support and guidance during this challenging time. Our team stands ready to assist you in organizing a funeral and burial at a suitable cemetery, graveyard, or burial ground, with the option for a church or chapel service beforehand. We believe that funeral services should align with your unique preferences and beliefs, accommodating formal or informal ceremonies and religious or non-religious services.

Navigating the burial process can be overwhelming, and our compassionate team is here to support you every step of the way. Your questions and concerns are always welcome, and we are committed to providing the assistance you need.

Green, Woodland, and Meadow Funerals:

While there's no industry standard for a "green" or "eco" funeral, B Jenkins and Sons can help you arrange a loved one's final resting place in a woodland or meadow burial ground. These unique funerals can be faith-based, offering various eco-friendly coffin and ashes casket options. A short committal ceremony can be held at the graveside, and flowers can be placed without cellophane or ribbon. Some burial grounds even allow memorial trees to be added to mark your loved one's resting place.

Unattended:

For those seeking simplicity or facing budget constraints, Unattended Cremations and Burials provide an affordable option. This straightforward  process does not include a formal funeral service and is typically unattended, allowing you to bid farewell in your own way.

Despite the absence of a formal service, you can still arrange a private memorial service or a celebration of life before or after the cremation, in line with your loved one's wishes. We are here to help you determine if an unattended cremation or burial is the right choice and provide the information you need to organise this unique service.

Our Family Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing support to you whenever you need it.
